King started playing clarinet at the age of seven and was soon a member of a conservatory orchestra. This large, big band became his home in three years. King, who had been playing clarinet for several years, finally took up the guitar when he was 13. Guy King’s style is influenced by B.B. King and Albert King.
Guy King and his band started recording another studio album in January 2019 with Delmark Records.
